MONASTERIES OF THE HEART

In 2026, Fellowship in Prayer awarded a Sacred Journey grant to help support Monasteries of the Heart, a ministry of Benedictine Sisters of Erie.  In addition to allowing the ministry to continue its writing, teaching, and dissemination of monastic spirituality, the grant will assist an exploration of global ecumenical and contemplative communities to enable creation of a new storytelling project.  In addition, the grant will help bring personal stories into communal movement models renewing effort for contemplative and new monastic cohorts both in person and online.

ABOUT MONASTERIES OF THE HEART

Monasteries of the Heart is an online movement sharing monastic spirituality with contemporary seekers. It is a monastery “without walls,” uniting individuals and groups by Benedictine values, providing individual seekers a monastic website for spiritual sustenance and personal growth.
