The Hindu Life Program in the Office of Religious Life of Princeton University was awarded a Sacred Journey Grant in 2015 by Fellowship in Prayer to create a project aimed at raising awareness about, and standing in solidarity with mental health issues in the Hindu-American community.  The Red Thread Project employs portraits of hands wearing red thread (symbol of divine protection), anonymous stories of individuals, and opportunities for others to wear the red thread to express awareness and solidarity.

ABOUT HINDU LIFE PROGRAM

Their mission is to create and foster a community where students, faculty, staff, and the larger Princeton family can come together to celebrate the beauty, vitality, and relevance of the Hindu culture.
