Fellowship In Prayer rests on the conviction that peace in our world and hope for the future resides in a global community of prayer. We live in a world divided—dominated by political, social, economic and religious differences. Many of our conflicts are rooted in deeply held spiritual beliefs and values—about the nature of our relationship to one another, all living things and to the Sacred.
Carl Evans maintained that “prayer was at the heart of all religions” and “prayer could change our hearts.” It is then up to us to change the world. The following pages are yours—to connect with others to pray, to share spiritual practices you find valuable, to grow in your understanding of and appreciation for diverse religious traditions. We hope it will also be a place for helping all of us come to terms with effective and compassionate responses to the critical issues we are facing in our world today.
